Pulp has been getting its game on and loving the huge range of gamer tees we’ve been getting in to help you guys show your love for some of your favourite games and characters!
But while we’ve been loving catching up on some of our old favourites, such as sonic, Mario and Space invaders. As well as some of our newer favourites, like COD, Assassins creed and Pokémon, we’ve now started to look to the future and what awesome release are due for 2016!
The fourteen instalment of the Battlefield franchise, Battlefield 1 will be World War 1 themed and is set to be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Continuing the format in first person shooter and inspired by historical events and includes some period friendly weaponry such as mustard gas, bolt-action rifle and artillery.
The campaign will follow multiple protagonists and explore the stories of unknown war heroes from the time.
The multiplayer mode is apparently planning to support up to 64 players! And it is hinted that not joining a group will make surviving this mode significantly more difficult… we’re not sure whether this is a challenge or a warning yet…

The release date for this instalment isn’t until the 21st of October so there’s still plenty of time to finish any previous games in the series if you’re lagging behind a bit!
Call of Duty Infinite Warfare
Call of Duty is a solid favourite in the gaming world and with the amount of games, variety and sheer carnage why wouldn’t it be?
A first person shooter game, this edition will be the thirteenth primary installation of the COD series. This time set in outer space the game will allow for zero-gravity game play and the usual format of main campaigns, secondary quests and hostile raids.
The game should also feature multiplayer modes and a co-op Zombie game mode separate to the main story.

It’s a long wait for this one, with the release date is currently set at November 4th but it’ll be coming out for PC, PS4 and Xbox so it’s an all-rounder we’re sure will take over our lives for at least a few weeks.
In the meantime we’re going to hone our skills on some past versions, check out our awesome range of COD Merch and remember ‘You can run, but you’ll only die tired’.
Tom Clancy’s The Division
It’s already out! Released March the 8th Tom Clancy’s The Division has hit PS4, Xbox One and PC with pretty solid success and will be expecting its first major paid expansion in June.
Multiplayer format, online only third person shooter, the aim of the game is to help ‘The Division’ rebuild and combat criminal activity after an outbreak of a genetically modified virus devastates New York City.
The game contains elements of roleplay, person vs person and the theme of general dystopia. You gain experience points and currency during game play to help buy new weapons and gear and help you progress through the game.
The Division also has a ‘Dark Zone’ which is separate from the main campaign and has its own set of rules… You can basically get some great high end weapons from here and you have to be careful of other player’s ‘going rogue’ killing you and stealing all your awesome new stuff. (You can also drop in ranking if you die too often in the zone).

Basically thumbs up for this game for 2016 if you’ve not had a chance to play yet. Only downsides really is you’ve got to be online and you really need a decent squad to play with to really get the most out of this one.
Lego star wars the Force awakens
So we’ve had the excitement of the series restarting and all the new characters and exciting scenes and now, we’re going to be able to play it… in Lego form!
For anyone who’s played the Lego console games you’ll know the deal but for those who haven’t they are essentially walkthrough games, you follow the story collecting and building objects, fighting the bad guys and watching the cut scenes that further the story.
The Lego games are a pretty good universal game that is fun for kids and adults, with some challenging bits but generally just good easy fun. Plus with the Star Wars one’s you can usually use the Force to move the Lego and play with lightsabers… What’s not to like?

And don’t worry if that’s got you in a Star Wars mood check out our Star Wars Merch and treat yourself to something awesome so when it’s time to help the Lego resistance, you’ll be ready!
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Released on the 10th of May Uncharted 4 has received massive praise and close to spot on reviews. Only available for PS4 it has been praised for its beautiful graphics and amazing skin effects.
Set years after the events of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, A Thief’s End follows Nathan Drake who had retired from treasure hunting but is forced to follow the clues to a long lost treasure to try and save this brother.
A third person shooter that’s very action and adventure based, it also hosts some features found most commonly in platform games. You can follow the campaign with multiple paths to follow and the cut scenes have a seamless quality.
Uncharted 4 also has a multiplayer feature, you play as different characters from the series and your task is to defeat your opponents, collect treasure and work as a team to hunt, support and shoot your opponents. There’s also a plunder mode but it only supports 8 players.

We enjoyed continuing the story of Nathan Drake and the style and design of the games is aesthetically amazing so as a whole we’d definitely recommend you add it to your play list for 2016, (if it’s not there already)!
There’s obviously loads more games being announced and released this year that we are giddy at the controllers for, this is just a small selection of our current ones to watch and awesome releases for the year.
Pokémon Go for example is teasingly set for release for some point in 2016! The augmented-reality game for iOS and Android will be coming out sometime in the summer and a wearable Bluetooth device will be able to notify you when a Pokémon is close by!
This development is a dream for Pokémon lovers old and new and is almost guaranteed to be a hit as it lets you capture, battle and trade virtual Pokémon with Pokémon types being available in different parts of the world; encourage travel and trades!

We’re excited to see what else the gaming industry has to throw at us in 2016!
